My name is Sergiy Manolov. I was born in Horlivka, Ukraine in 1981.
After graduation from the high school in 1998 I moved to Moscow to get my undergraduate degree in Nuclear Engineering. I graduated from the MEPhI university in 2004. After that, I worked as a software developer and QA engineer on a number of projects.
I moved to the United States in 2007. In 2008 I got a job at Center for Large-Scale Scientific Simulations where I was a part of the team working on the PDT project. PDT stands for Parralel Determenistic Trasport and is a code developed to model and solve Radiation and Heat Transport equations. You can find some of my publications here and here. Again, more details are available in my portfolio.
In 2010, I applied for the Taxas A&M graduate school and was accepted. By January 2013, I had finished all the classes and defended my thesis. My official graduation is in Spring 2013, but I can start working immediately. I got married in 2010. My wife's name is Anastasiia and she is an artist. Like me, she likes travelling and visiting new places. We have no pets. Even though I have taken classes on C++, Fortran and Parallel Computing while at school, I consider the lack of a formal IT education my weakness. I expect continuation of my career as a Software Developer in a new and exciting field of mobile applications.
